Protect yourself and your assets during a divorce

Colorado residents who have been through a divorce know that the process is seldom simple. It can feel overwhelming to spouses, who must deal with the multiple decisions and work with the other side to try and negotiate resolutions. The process can be particularly intimidating in a high asset divorce.

The process of property division can become very complex when a couple owns significant assets. When dividing businesses, pensions, 401(k) plans, real estate, bank accounts and retirement plans, it is crucial that all assets are fully disclosed. The same is true of debts, which must also be fully disclosed during divorce proceedings.

With over 10 years of experience in family law, the law firm of Shea L. Burchill, P.C. has been serving the Boulder County community in all aspects of family law. I have experience with the complex asset division and asset valuation issues that come up in high asset divorces. I personally review each client’s situation and work to achieve their goals. I pride myself on being compassionate with my clients, but tough in the courtroom. I work hard to make sure my clients’ needs are met. I have years of courtroom experience working as a Weld County Deputy District Attorney, handling complex trials and litigation.

During a high asset divorce, it is crucial to have a strong advocate on your side. The other side will be protecting their own interests; you owe it to yourself, your children and your future to protect yours and find a law firm familiar with all aspects of divorce to help you along the way.
